How Soon We Forget

The snow and ice of last week are all gone! Hurray!

This weekend has been absolutely gorgeous and we have made the most of it. H and I could barely roll ourselves out of bed this morning, so much did our aching muscles scream for mercy. But, roll we did and as soon as I finish this post, it will be back into the trenches for cleaning up the flower beds in anticipation of spring color about to burst forth. Temperatures are forecast to be in the upper 70's today.

H has been busy sanding the deck and his poor knees feel like they will never be the same

Today is another day of note - H and I celebrated the 42nd anniversary of our first date! Mr. Romantic took me to the movies, and what sentimental bit of cinematic splendor do we reminisce about? Godzilla versus The Thing! Yep, that and I was treated to a delightful meal of a hot dog smothered in mustard and onions. Is it any wonder that we have stayed together for such a long time? Surely, no one else would put up with either one of us. Such is true love.

Happy Anniversary! I don't remember that movie, but I'll bet my husband saw it. We have been together almost 38 years, so are behind you just a bit. Our first date was cruisin' the streets in Tulsa, OK, made famous by the movie THE OUTSIDERS. My then to be husband had a 69 GTO Judge, and fit right in the scene.

I spent three hours outside working today. And, I am already sore! Still a ton of work to do.

Happy Anniversary. And I agree - sometimes there's nuthin' like a good old-fashioned hot dog!

Happy Anniversary! Ours was the 17th (36 yrs). Our first movie was "Born to be Wild". We didn't like the ending! And we ate at a steak house. But our favourite is Kentucky Fried Chicken, where we ended up for our first anniversary (funny story).
