Sneaky Darned Cat!

His Majesty, Spike has been awfully nice to me lately. I suspected that he was just in a loving mood, or perhaps a bit cold and wanted a wee bit of warmth. But, NO, he was after my chair!

There I sat, contentedly knitting my latest Eco Market Bag and enjoying the fact that Spike had graced me with his presence. Notice, how he is slowly eking his way down into my chair.

I got up to fetch another hank of yarn to begin another project, and before I knew what had happened, Spike had co-opted my seat!

That look says it all, doesn't it? "Ma, you're not really going to boot me out of here, are you? Not when I'm so comfortably ensconced"?

Well, you know the old saying, "If you want the best seat in the house, move the cat"! Unfortunately, I'm just an old softie and elected to move myself over to the couch. Sheesh.

I have finished two more market bags since the weather has been too cold to venture outside. And, I gave one of my previous ones away to a friend, so he and his wife could begin a more eco friendly lifestyle.

He, however, did not understand the concept!

Awesome looking bags, Sandy. Cat looks "wicked" comfy.

I am chuckling out loud. H looks pretty snazzy in his bag hat.

Giddy . this made me chuckle a LOT ! that saying about the best seat is so TRUE !! Just be glad Spike and Sluggo don't like coffee .. Emma tries everything to get into our coffee cups .. I know ... she is STRANGE .. Sophie thinks so too !! haha

Of course, all cats want the best seat in the house. While I've been recuperating from surgery, I've had a heated comforter in the recliner in the living room. If I have it on and leave to do something else even briefly...there's a cat or two in it when I get back. And they all seem to land on the bed before it's time for the humans in the house to get in the bed. World domination cannot be far behind.

Well it beats carryiny the bag to the store!

I used to have a tiny poodle who would tell me there was someone at the door so that I would go look. When I got back from checking, she would be snuggled up in my warm chair, pretending to be asleep. She could fit along side me, so we both ended up with the chair.

Oh yeah, you're a softie alright :)
I think the eco bag works quite well as a nifty hat :)
