I am always in awe of our winter sunsets, but tonight's truly left lacking for words! I looked up from the computer and saw the sun setting over Calf Island, grabbed my camera and stood on the deck clicking away.
the purples and pinks slowly morphed into golds and teals .......
and then burst forth into fire in the sky, raining the fire onto the cove's surface.
I stood on the deck, shivering in the cold, but too entranced to stop snapping photos. And, finally, the last of the golden rays dipped beneath the horizon, leaving a faint glow.
Words cannot describe the beauty nature provides us.

OMG, these are lovely, and I do like those windows. I didn't realize you were quite that close to the water.
We are supposed to just get rain tonight and tomorrow. I haven't heard your forecast, but I do know it is supposed to be getting warmer during the week.
I will catch you before you leave.
Wow, Giddy. Those are stunning photos!
Giddy .. what can I say ? When I saw these pictures my breath was gone .. you see such a stunning view and that sunset was just too beautiful for words .. can I please come live with you for a while ? just to take some pictures and then I swear I will go home .. after a few thousand pictures .. that should do it ?
Seriously .. that was simply amazing .. you are one lucky gal !

Beautiful pictures! I've only been blogging for a few months -- trying to incorporate my love of taking pictures with my interest in writing/typing.
I am truly sorry for your loss! My parents were married 50 years before my mother passed away of cancer nearly six years ago! My dad is still around (84 years young!) but.... he has tough days and months without the love of his life too. With my many siblings, we ALL still miss her dearly. But, what gets me through, are all the memories I have of her and the chats we had -- she was my best friend... but not like the one she was to my father! Remind yourself everyday of the love you shared and let that brighten your spirit to carry on --- for me, I feel my mother's presence whenever I feel sad or when I am enthusiastic about something going well: she shares in all my moments because she always wanted me to keep moving forward with Life!
