Spring Launch of the Mango Moose

Yesterday was the first day where the weather, tides and timing were perfect for the first launch of the season for the kayak. She's big, she's beautiful and she's orange, so she was aptly christened "The Mango Moose"

We had a wonderful paddle on a relatively smooth sea, with a side trip to our favorite island picnic spot. What a great day!
Fried chicken always tastes better at a picnic!

Our collapsible "dining set" comes in quite handy for those off shore lunches.

Today is another "perfect" day, so off we go again. The garden needs tending, but that will have to wait for a day where the tides prevent us from casting off.

I'm glad you've had some beautiful weather. So have we, but we need rain!
I'm seriously envious of your picnicing and boating, strolls by the water and lovely views! It's such a gorgeous area you live in. I love all your pictures of Sorrento. Wow! It's easy to get carried away with the camera in a place like that :)
Hope you're feeling much better by now after that nasty cold you had, and are getting some gardening done. I'm diligently weeding, edging and planting. It seems never-ending, but I love to be out there in the garden. Finding the time is often the hard part.
Thanks for your visit and sweet comment. It's always a pleasure to "see" you :) I hope your parents continue in good health for many years to come.

You look so darned cute sitting there under your dining umbrella.

Is that a good book I see on the table?
