Thanks to Carol over at May Dreams blog, gardeners are sharing what is blooming in their gardens on the 15th of every month.
I don't have much to add this month as the only thing I technically have blooming in the garden today are the crocus. But what beauties they are
I love the way the shadows play on the petals
The Oriental Poppies are popping through the soil
as are the Stella d'Oro daylilies and the Silver King Artemesia
I'm seeing green on the lilac buds and am hoping it will bloom this year.
I think it will be a couple more weeks before I unwrap the pond and get it running.
We got the bat house up a bit too late to entice residents, but we are hopeful we will be attracting lots of mosquito eating bats this year.
The boys spent the entire morning roughhousing and finally fell into exhausted sleep in the sun on their window seat. Poor babies. Life is so tough in this house.

I can see the boys are suffering. Perhaps you should have arrnged for massages for them following all that exercise!
Now that the sun is streaming in through our bedroom windows in the mornings again, my cat Mercedes has taken to awakening me in hopes I depart the bed so she can lie in the sun. Cats!
Hi Giddy,
Your post about the pretzles was too funny! Usually the things that look the worst, taste the best at my house.
The pictures of the Schoodic coast were beautiful. I miss it so much. Even though we've had a cold snap here in AL, the real estate activity is picking up with the arrival of Spring. We are determined to be Mainers!
Mike and I are the parents of cats too. Like your boys, they are spoiled and pampered.
I enjoy all your blogging, but I'm taking special note of your gardening posts. Can't wait to try my luck in a different zone.
Warm weather and retirement isn't bad, is it!
Take care,
Sally
Yep, massages, no doubt, would perk up their otherwise lazy day.
Hi Sally, good to hear from you again. We're still keeping our fingers crossed for a quick sale for you.
I expect you have far more blooming in that Alabama yard, although it looks like you've been getting a few days of pretty good heat. The brief respite from the heat probably feels pretty good.
Yes Giddy, it certainly is wonderful to feel the warm sun on our backs and get out into the garden...finally! I love to see the crocuses blooming, and yours are beautiful.
I'm seeing pretty much what you are - poppy leaves and daylilies showing themselves, and the lilac budding. It really does the spirit good!
A few of you photos aren't showing up. It could be our service provider. Our internet has been acting up lately. A call is in order. Ugh!
So I can't see the boys, but I'll stop back again later and hopefully the rest of the pics will show up.
The kitties are loving the warm weather, aren't they? And they're such good helpers!
Meows to the boys from Jasmine, Maxine, and all the gang :)
Enjoy your garden!!
Love those crocuses, and you do look like you'll have lots of May blooms.
Thanks for joining in for bloom day!
