A journal documenting the trials and tribulations of gardening on the rocky coast of Downeast Maine. My attempt at keeping in touch with my many friends and loved ones who live all across the nation.

Rain, Rain Go Away!
Awoke to thunderstorms this morning around 3 a.m. It's still raining at 8:30 a.m. so it looks like another wet day indoors reading other gardening blogs and trying to figure out how to post pictures on this one. This blogging thing is a learning experience!
This photo, taken yesterday during a brief moment of no fog, is of my William Baffin rose in full bloom. I must say, the plants seem to like the rain and fog. The whole yard is looking lush!
Gardening and knitting fanatic! I love digging in the dirt (what little I have of it!) My zone 5 garden is located on 2 1/2 heavily wooded, rocky acres on the coast of Downeast Maine and is shared by Hubby and our two cats, Spike and Sluggo. When unable to garden, I love to knit, cook, pursue my photograpy, bake and read numerous other blogs.
