We stacked about 7 wheelbarrows full and then decided to quit and fix our lunch. I suspect it will take a considerable amount of time to get it all stacked.In the meantime, it was a beautiful day and we dined on grilled steak, steamed mixed veggies and yellow rice.
After lunch, I meandered out in to the garden to see what was blooming.........
the Columbine is in full bloom.......
as are the Centauria.
Clematis "Firecracker" is popping.......and the viburnum "Marisii" is blooming for the first time!
the tiny blooms of the Cranesbill fill the garden. They are quite prolific with their seeds!
And so ends another day in the life of Giddy's family!
Life is Good, but really busy!

I remember those days of hauling wood, stacking wood, moving wood and more. Very tiring just thinking about it. Good luck getting your wood all under the deck.

I'm thinking instead of visiting the offspring in Florida, you should fly Brian and Jason to Maine for firewood duty, then cook 'em up a big lobster feed.

Oh my, that's a LOTTA firewood!!! I'm amazed you still had the energy to cook such a delicious lunch after hauling all that wood. You've got your work cut out for you.
Aren't the June blooms a delight? Your pink clematis is truly beautiful, but then, all the blooms are. That viburnum is really pretty, and I adore the dainty columbine.
Ali, that thought has definitely crossed our minds! We have friends who are lobstermen so we buy them right off the boat for very good prices.
Kerri, the majority of the color and blooms are usually here in July, so with all this rain, we should be in for some spectacular color.
